The Theohold Research Group was considered a pioneer regarding the field of spatial manipulation and extradimensional travel.

The Theohold Research Group was an organization founded in 1999 near Theohold Ranch, Theohold, Utah. Members of the organization, most notably Albert Guy, claimed to specialize in "studying previously incomprehensible phenomena." While their work comprised of studying manifestations of local folklore, they are best known for studying "portals," presently known as high concentrations of dimensional essence.

Along with their study of "portals," they are also best known for their unusual disappearance in 2001-09-10 (see included Reference #1). Mazer Labs' Division of Media and Communications was able to avoid this story from entering mainstream media, although Mazer Labs had no direct involvement in the organization's disappearance.
The following is an article from Theohold's local newspaper:
In perhaps an unfortunately expected turn of events, all the present members of the Theohold Research Group have mysteriously disappeared two days ago. As said by the lead researcher and founder of the group, Dr. Albert Guy and his co-researchers specialized in studying previously incomprehensible phenomena. This included the pursuit of the elusive skinwalker, strange aerial sightings, and reports of portals into a heavenly reality.
The Theohold Research Group was last seen in the morning of September 10th. People passing by the old ranch that day noticed nothing unusual from what the group typically does day-to-day. One local, #### #########, took note of the group's routine that day. He mentioned that most of the team was investigating a cave on the side of the ranch's famous Witch Mesa.
Another local, ###### #####, saw one of the members, likely Dr. Martin Cart, was running from the cave to their "operations shack," before running back. ##### called out to him to see if he needed help, to which he reports Cart responded "not sure what could help," as he ran back towards the cave. ##### was the first witness to report this conundrum to the local police.
